"Love is not easily provoked" 1Cor. 13: 5
Even though love can be provoked but that is not easily done. Love is not irritable and it's not rash at reacting.
Some men are choleric by nature but when a man submits himself to the Lordship of Christ and workings of the indwelling Holy Spirit, the love of God which is shed abroad in our hearts prevails over his temperament and he becomes more like Jesus; meek and lowly at heart.
O comrade, are you irritable? Don't just say "That's who I am; I am choleric". Your temperament could negatively affect your fruitfulness as a man called to soul winning business of the kingdom. Pray earnestly to God for help as you deliberately choose to submit to the workings of the Spirit of grace in obedience, to make the love nature birthed in you at salvation find expression through you daily.
May we grow daily to be more like Jesus.
