"ARISE, SHINE, FOR THY LIGHT IS COME, AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD IS RISEN UPON THEE" Isaiah 60:1KJV
The moon does not essentially generate light but yet, we have the moon light. The moon is essentially a reflector, it gives out rays of light when the glory of the sun rises upon it. In like manner, we as believers are reflectors and we only shine when the glory of the Lord rises upon us. But the Bible affirms that the glory of the Lord is already risen upon us, if the world then will not be/remain in darkness, the onus is on us to arise and shine.
We have a responsibility O comrade, we have a responsibility of arising for the main purpose of shining; of reflecting the image of the invisible God to the world.
Men can not see God directly, but we are to reveal Him to the world. Men suppose to know God's way, understand His character, know His will and contract His life by seeing and interacting with us. But all these are impossible until we shine. Selah!
Light is meant to shine, arise therefore O comrade and don't just brag about being light, shine!
