"Love is not selfish" 1Cor.13:5 LB
Selfishness is defined as being concerned chiefly or only with oneself and one's advantage to the exclusion of others.
Love does not seek personal convenience without minding how others feel or its effect on others; love is always considerate.
O comrade, we have the capacity to love, we're born with it in Christ; the capacity is innate. We're only expected to let it out in our daily conversations.
For example, don't talk rashly at people out of anger without minding how they feel, when brethren feel seduced by your dressing, don't say "what's my business about that, they had better grow". Now that they're still growing and have not gotten to your level, change your dressing to help keep them from falling away. Let your love for God and humans guide your actions that your good be not evil spoken of and you shall not lose your reward for denying yourself some pleasures in helping men.
Shalom
