LIGHT REVEALS

" The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:5 NLT

"The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn't put it out" TMSG.

From the message version of the bible, we have a clearer understanding of the fact that there was an attempt by darkness to put out the light but it could not. Why will darkness attempt such a thing? Why did it not just vanish as it normally should in the presence of light? This is because, the darkness is not merely the darkness of night fall or power outage but a wicked personality which operates with the principle that tends to control humanity against the purpose of the creator God; leading men to eternal damnation.

When light comes to a place where darkness prevails, there sure must be a conflict because light reveals or exposes the works of darkness.

This darkness makes men settle for the lower life; a defeated life, making men believe that no man can truly be righteous, no man can truly live in victory over sin, no saviour anywhere, life in the spirit is impossible, life in the spirit is boring etc. But when a believer comes to such environment where men are kept in darkness as the revelator to show that with God, all of these are real and possible, darkness tries to put it out.

O comrade, are you persecuted for righteousness' sake? Are you ostracized for living in victory over sin among sin engrossed community? Keep basking in the spirit and allow not the darkness to put you out. That is why you were sent there, you're the revealer of the power of grace in Christ. And it shall be well with you.
