For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:40 NLT.
Most people especially in Africa believe there is life after death, we only differ on how to attain it. While majority believe it can only be accessed by doing good, some believe those who will attain it are already predestined and nothing can change it not even whether they do good or bad.
But Jesus clearly stated unequivocally that what qualifies a man for eternal life(life beyond this world) is faith in Himself as the Son of God (that is, the one who came out of God and sent from God; who carries the same nature as God and therefore God in essence). He promised that those who believe in Him, He will raise them on the last day. No wonder He said in John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying" (NLT). This is neither fantasy nor delusion, He affirmed with confidence "I will raise them up on the last day". It is a sure thing, life eternal is in Christ Jesus.
O comrade, you may say I know this already, but since you have known Christ and have known this truth, how many perishing unbelievers have you attempted to rescue? How many of these perishing souls have you extended this life saving truth to? Are you not selfish? Will you allow that person close to you to perish with this condemned world when you know the escape route? Repent and arise to work. For this purpose is God taking responsibility over your life.
