"They will consider nothing sacred" 2 Timothy 3:2 NLT
As priests, there is a comportment expected from us. This comportment is supposed to be born not out of pretence but self control which is a fruit of the spirit.
The LORD swore to the house of Aaron that they will be priests to serve before Him forever, but the house was eventually rejected by the LORD who initially swore in His integrity because a generation came up later; the generation of the children of Eli, who lack priestly comportment.
They were rejected because they considered nothing sacred; they lived under the control of the flesh; they were indulgent and did conduct themselves as children of Belial.
O comrade, beware of being deceived, grace only changed you towards God and didn't change God nor His holy nature. We're made priests in Christ Jesus, we are expected to conduct ourselves in holiness as He who has called us is Holy. Do you consider your words, appearance, body e.t.c sacred at all? Do you truly differ from the children of Belial in your use of language, the way you look, the kind of relationships you enter into, e.t.c?
Examine yourself please.
May we not suffer rejection in the end in Jesus' name.
Shalom.
