"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Gal. 6:7,8
The scripture says, as long as the earth exists, time for sowing and reaping shall not cease. This means as long as the earth remains, the principle of sowing and reaping shall be in operation.
God, out of divine love admonishes us by His word to mind whatever we sow because no one sows corn to reap yam; whatever is sown is reaped. God wants us to consciously and deliberately choose to live to please the Spirit rather than the flesh.
The NLT renders the above scriptural verses as "Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit."
Who do you permit to control the affairs of your life O Comrade? The flesh or the Spirit? To what cause do you devote your life, your time, your energy, your resources etc? Worldly cause or godly cause?
Remember, if you sow to the Spirit (living to please the Spirit), eternal life is what you reap. But if otherwise (living to please your sinful self), death is inevitable.
May we not die eternally in Jesus' name.
Shalom
