"Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ." Galatians 6:1-2 NLT.
It is very possible that a believer falls into temptation to commit a sin. But when that happens, it's not the time to start gossiping, it's rather the time to help such a soul from losing out totally.
In bearing each other's burdens, the love of Christ which is shed abroad in our hearts finds expression. And it is when this love finds expression that we are truly obeying the law of Christ.
Many hate correction though, they think only angels from heaven are qualified to correct them and not men who also have some weaknesses. But correcting one another is part of Christian service.
Many also who correct in the body of Christ do so with superiority complex. That is not God's will but fleshly manifestation.
O comrade, do you hate correction, do you correct with arrogance, or do you rather gossip when a believer is overtaken with sin? Check the life you carry.
We're to bear each other's burdens; helping one another till our Master returns.
May the Lord open our eyes to this truth as we journey on in this world in Jesus' name.
