Believers who contract this virus are not void of love, only that the love they exhibit is artificial, unnatural, fake or deceptive. It may look real but the exhibitor knows it's not natural.
Sometimes ago a particular evangelist came to Africa, Nigeria to be precise. Anytime this fine man of God is coming, arrangements are put in place to make sure intercessors are prayerfully setting ablaze the ground before, during and sometimes after the gospel campaign for maximum harvest. During one of such intercessions, one man among the intercessors stopped the praying men as if he has got an inspiration for another point to pray. But alas, when he opened his mouth, he only asked them "so all of us are here for the past few days praying for another man's ministry? Can we not pray that God should give our own ministries global publicity too? And that was how the unity in the body of Christ that could have brought tremendous harvest into the kingdom was injured by this unnatural love for the souls of men.
This virus will make a "man of God" love only those who sow seeds, make preachers change their messages when rich men attend their meetings, make a believer say "I love you Jesus" when his tea is still sugared and bread buttered and so on.
O comrade, does this symptom express itself through you? Do you think you love God enough to serve Him with or without honourarium? Do you see your zeal in ministry fueled by anything else that benefits you than passion for the salvation of the souls of men?
The arms of the great healer is still wide open, if you can choose to love God genuinely, He will heal you of this viral disease and give you a heart that will make you love Him and men naturally. And your life shall henceforth bring Him glory. You shall be glad you know the Lord.
