This is the first symptom of the endtime "virus". This "virus" works at delisting believers from among disciples of Christ. For being a disciple of Christ is founded on the foundation of selflessness/self denial.
"And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23
It is very easy to see selfishness in others, most especially, leaders, politicians and so on but in oneself.
Selfishness is revealed in believers who after being saved see no obligation in showing the Saviour to others but pray everyday that Jesus return and take them to heaven, in those who don't care who falls from the faith due to their attitudes or lifestyle, in believers who don't care if anyone is in need as long as they are satisfied and so on.
The Bible says those who contract this virus "shall be lovers of their own selves"
