"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you." Jeremiah 7:21-23.
It's the beginning of another journey and it's not unusual to be set at running again this year but I see the Lord saying "consider, lest you start on the wrong footing ".
The year will be full of activities as usual; both religious and nonreligious alike, but none of these will lead to good success this year except they are born out of obedience; obedience to instructions from the Lord.
O comrade, are you out for much "sacrifices" this year as usual? Do not forget, God desire obedience above sacrifices.
Let us work more this year at knowing what the will of the Lord is and be obedient to His instructions per time and our fulfilment shall be certain in the year.
