Becoming Sons of God is a phenomenon that is beyond the reach of human intelligence.
Jehovah God chose us solely by His grace to be His children. Matt. 22:10 establishes how the Lord God brought us into this relationship by adoption especially, we that are referred to as gentiles.
One major difference between Jehovah and other gods is that, Jehovah is a Father and has a loving and caring father's heart.
His love for us is an eternal love and He is by nature love personified.
By this nature of His, in relation to His children, He does not force His will on them.
He asked Priests in Malachi 1:6, If truly you aknowledge me as your Father, where is my honour?
Grace does not change His nature but enables men to meet up with His standard.
O comrade, do you claim being God's child but your life dishonours Him?
The truth is, even though His love for His children is children is eternal which cannot diminish, every child has a choice to either remain in that love or go out of it hence, Jesus said " If ye keep my commandments, YE SHALL ABIDE IN MY LOVE;..." John 15:10.
Like the prodigal son O comrade, if sin, self, worldliness and/or love for this world has taken you away from the confines of the Father's love, repent and return. He is yet with an open arm of love waiting for your return. That brings great joy and celebration in the Kingdom.
