People will love only themselves. They will want lots of money. They will think that they are much more important than other people. And they will talk about how great they are. They will say bad things about other people. They will not obey their parents. They will not thank anyone. They will not think that other people, or God, are important. They will not do what is proper to other people.
People will not even love their own families. They will refuse to agree with other people. They will say wrong things about other people, things that are not true. They will be unable to rule themselves properly. They will be cruel like wild animals. They will be enemies of everything that is good.
People will turn against their friends. They will not think carefully before they do things. They will be completely sure that they are very, very important. They will not love God, but instead they will want very much to enjoy themselves.
Those people will seem to worship God. But really, they will refuse to let God work in them. You must stay away from people like that." 2Tim3:1-5 EasyEnglish version
13. "They will be enemies of everything that is good"
These wants to live an independent lives, they love to satisfy their exuberances and hate being pruned and therefore remain fruitless in the spirit (John 15:2 NET)
14. "People will turn against their friends"
They will turn malicious.
15. They will not think carefully before they do things"
They become thoughtless people, rash in taking decisions, they're short sighted and love short term benefits even if it will harm them in the long run.
16. "They will be completely sure that they are very very important"
They don't take corrections as they feel no one is as important and therefore, no one is worthy to correct them.
17. "They will not love God, but instead they will want very much to enjoy themselves"
Even their seeming worship of God is rooted secretly in their love for gains. They do not love God, they only derive some pleasure from posing to be worshippers.
18. "Those people will seem to worship God. But really, they will refuse to let God work in them"
God working in the believer is what produces the "good works" the world can see in a believer. They love to identify with God for personal gains but hate being told to work (cooperate with the Spirit of grace to produce outer proof of the good works wrought within) They therefore love ministers that teaches or messages that portray GRACE as a means through which God raises IRRESPONSIBLE men; men that don't want God to work in them, altar their selfish desires to suit His purpose of saving them. They want to live their lives as they want but be acceptable to God notwithstanding.
These kind of people O comrade, the word of God says "You must stay away from people like that"
