Many at times when we quote Isaiah 60:1 all that readily come to our hearts about shining is achieving something in this world that men can see that will compel them to believe our God is worth serving. No wonder you hear the man of God say "It's your time to shine, arise and shine!" and the "Amen" hardly have full stop.
When the scriptures say you're the light and let your light so shine before men (Matt.5:14-16), I don't think in the Lord's mind it means "You're the materials getters of the world and get lots of materials for the world to see" NO!
O comrade, you're the light of the world not of that denomination. Your light is irrelevant among other lights, all you need that denomination for is to get recharged. Go out and shine as light in the world of darkness.
Millions perish daily, how do you feel about that?
If a single soul saved brings great joy in heaven, just imagine the magnitude of sorrow that hit the heavens when those millions perish daily.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How, then, can people call on someone they have not believed? And how can they believe in someone they have not heard about? And how can they hear without someone preaching?" Rom.10:13,14 ISV.
Preaching is not only by speaking neither is it only by acting. Preach both in words and in deeds.
Arise, be a responsible child of the kingdom, start shining. Let your life bring joy to heaven rather than sorrow.
