HAVING THE MIND OF CHRIST 2
"Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5:19
Having the mind of Christ is tantamount to thinking and acting exactly like Christ. Anyone who claims to have the mind of Christ and does not act like Christ is either an abuser of heavenly resource or a liar.
Jesus Christ whose mind we claim to have does nothing without the Father's approval; He does nothing out of self will. But today, so many believers who claim to have the mind of Christ do things arbitrarily and if challenged if they have sought the Father's face concerning an issue and are sure they are doing what the Father is doing NOW, they claim they have the Holy Spirit inside of themselves and thereby have the mind of Christ. Therefore, whatever they do is acceptable.
Can anyone have the mind of Christ more than Christ Himself? If the owner of the mind did nothing except what He sought the Father's approval on, how then can you act arbitrarily because you "have" the mind of Christ?
This is one of the false teachings spread in the Church today and is readily accepted by those who are turned lazybones through deception and their love for worldly pleasure, fame and lust.
Are you also caught in the web of deception and laziness O comrade? Do you find it hard to seek God's face on issues but just act as by instinct claiming to have the mind of Christ? Don't be ashamed to open up to the Lord, He is ever ready to help you until you amount to something not in this world but in the kingdom.
May we be delivered from the grip of laziness, haste, complacency and lust.
Let the mind of Christ find expression through you.
