"I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:14,27,28.
One major difference between Christians and others is that we are serving the living God. He is alive, He speaks and we hear Him individually, anytime, anywhere unlike other gods that cannot speak or who claim to have spoken in time past and are now dumbs or that needs someone special in a community that claims to hear them for the whole community.
Jesus the good Shepherd relates with each sheep as an entity and each one hears His voice.
When last did you hear His voice O comrade? Do you hear Him as you used to when you first join the fold? Or do you now hear Him once-a-while, or you don't even hear Him anymore?
Check O comrade, the more intimate you are with the Master, the more you will hear Him, and the farther you are, the lesser you hear Him. And if you're far, guess who moved.
Draw nearer to Him and He will draw nearer to you.
